Crossing the Light

A duck glides across still water glowing with golden evening reflections. Dark vertical reflections from riverside structures stretch across the surface, while ripples gently distort the light into abstract patterns.

The duck is not interested in the sunset.

It simply crosses the water.

Yet in doing so, it becomes part of the light.

Perhaps holiness is sometimes less about seeking extraordinary things and more about moving faithfully through the beauty already given.
