We spend so much of life looking ahead.
Toward appointments. Toward treatments. Toward tomorrow.
Yet today, outside the dialysis unit, these tiny flowers were growing quietly among the grass. They asked nothing of those who hurried past. They bloomed whether they were noticed or not.
Beauty is often like that. It does not demand our attention. It simply offers itself.
Perhaps grace works in much the same way. God scatters small gifts along the ordinary paths of our lives—not to distract us from our burdens, but to remind us that our burdens are not the whole story.
Sometimes hope grows no taller than the grass beneath our feet.
