The Day’s Last Blessing

The sun slips beneath the horizon, and for a few moments the whole western sky burns with colour. It is the day’s final gift before darkness comes.

A sunset reminds us that endings are not empty things. They gather together everything that has gone before and send it into the night with beauty.

Every day carries its own blessing. Some are found in the brightness of morning, others only become visible as the light begins to fade.
