A church does not always announce holiness with grandeur. Sometimes it begins with an open doorway, a worn tiled floor, a bell rope, and the ordinary equipment needed to keep people safe.

Beyond the threshold, the eye is drawn towards the stained glass and the altar. Yet the sacred is not confined to the distant chancel. It is present in the whole passage: in welcome, preparation, care, and the quiet work that makes worship possible.

Perhaps every journey towards God begins like this—not by escaping the ordinary, but by walking through it attentively, discovering that even practical things can stand beside beauty without diminishing it.
