Along the bridge over the Triogue, a narrow garden occupies the space between the river and the road. Pink flowers rise among tall stems while the water passes quietly below.

It is not an untouched landscape. Stone, concrete, railings and electrical boxes share the scene with leaves, flowers and flowing water. Yet life has found the space available to it and made something beautiful there.

Perhaps this is one of the gifts of paying attention: discovering that nature does not always wait beyond the town. Sometimes it grows within its structures, softening their edges and quietly reminding us that even the narrowest places can bloom.
