Most of the hedge has become a wall of leaves, yet one rose remains, opening its colour in the midst of it all. It does not wait for a clearer space or a more prominent place. It simply blooms where it has taken root.
We sometimes imagine that hope must be abundant before it can matter. But one flower can alter an entire view, just as one kindness can soften a difficult day or one small act of faithfulness can offer enough light for the next step.
Not everything has to blossom at once. Sometimes one bright thing is enough.
